The $400,000 all-weather pavilion has room for about 100 visitors and will serve as a venue for Once Upon A Nation's ticketed storytelling performances and group presentations throughout the year, It can also be rented.
On May 10, Historic Philadelphia will hold its fourth annual Evening in Franklin Square fund-raiser, presented by Parx Casino.
Over Memorial Day weekend, Once Upon A Nation storytellers return to their Franklin Square bench with tales of the square's varied past. Once Upon A Nation, run by Historic Philadelphia, staffs 11 free storytelling benches scattered throughout the historic district.
