State police identified the man killed in a four-vehicle crash Friday night in Chester County as Clark "Moosie" Gibbs, 59, of Coatesville.
The crash, in which four others were injured, occurred around 9:10 p.m. on the westbound side of the Route 30 bypass, east of Reeceville Road in Caln Township. Gibbs was killed after a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Philadelphia man struck his vehicle, Pennsylvania State Police said Saturday in a news release.
Two other vehicles also ended up involved in the crash.
Gibbs was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Funeral arrangements were not immediately announced, and no arrests had been made Saturday night, police said.
The names and conditions of the injured were not released.
The crash, which closed the westbound lanes and caused heavy delays on the eastbound side, remains under investigation.
