Girl fatally hit by truck in Mayfair

A 7-year-old girl was fatally hit a by a truck this evening in the city's Mayfair section, authorities said.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. when the girl was hit by a pick-up truck in the 2900 block of Unruh Street, authorities said.

She was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children by medics, who reported the child was showing no vital signs.

The accident comes a day after another incident in which a 12-year-old boy was killed by a tractor-trailer in Mayfair.
