Report: 4 killed, over 40 displaced by Southwest Philly fire

Four children have been killed and four others were hurt after a fire swept through a number of Southwest Philadelphia homes, according to media and police scanner reports.

The fire, which reportedly began at a home on 65th and Gesner early Saturday morning, eventually spread to several homes and displaced more than 40 people.

According to the Red Cross, a shelter had been set up at nearby Bartram High School for residents displaced by the fire.
