Police investigating 2 slayings, including woman found stabbed in N. Philly park
The woman's body was found by a passerby. In another slaying in the city, a man was fatally shot in Kensington.

Philadelphia homicide detectives are investigating two slayings early Saturday, including that of a woman who had been stabbed and was found dead in a park behind a North Philadelphia high school.
The woman, 34, who was stabbed several times throughout her body, was discovered in the grass by a passerby at about 3:15 a.m. behind Dobbins High School on the 2100 block of Lehigh Avenue, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:21.
"Her condition shows an awful experience that she must have gone through. She was stabbed repeatedly," Capt. Drew Techner told reporters at the scene. "Somebody didn't just stop once or twice or three times. They just kept stabbing this woman all throughout her body."
Police did not know how long the woman had been dead in the park, and did not have a suspect.
They said her pants were pulled down to her ankles, but it was not immediately known if she had been sexually assaulted.
Police are also investigating a fatal shooting that occurred about 1:20 a.m. in Kensington. Police found a 49-year-old man shot in his lower-right abdomen in a park on the 3400 block of Kensington Avenue. He was rushed by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:48.
No arrest had been made in the man's slaying, and police said they did not know the motive.
