Four killed in incidents over weekend are identified

Philadelphia police have identified four people killed in incidents over the weekend, including three who died on Sunday alone. In the first, on Friday evening, Joseph McKinnon, 45, was shot multiple times in his car on the 1500 block of Cleveland Street in Point Breeze. He crashed his car into a house on that block after being shot, and police found him still in the car, unconscious, with his foot on the gas.

Philadelphia police have identified four people killed in incidents over the weekend, including three who died on Sunday alone.

In the first, on Friday evening, Joseph McKinnon, 45, was shot multiple times in his car on the 1500 block of Cleveland Street in Point Breeze. He crashed his car into a house on that block after being shot, and police found him still in the car, unconscious, with his foot on the gas.

He was pronounced dead at 6:06 p.m. Friday. No motive was apparent in the case, and no arrests had been made.

Around 9:25 a.m. Sunday, officers found 54-year-old James Debrady on the 2400 block of West Dakota Street in Strawberry Mansion with a stab wound to the chest.

He was pronounced dead a half-hour later at Temple University Hospital. No arrest has been made, and a motive is not known.

At 3:05 p.m. Sunday, police officers responded to the Locker Room Storage Facility on the 2200 block of South 62d Street. James Williams, 69, was found dead with blunt force trauma to his head. His hands and legs were bound, police said, adding that the motive was unknown. No arrests have been made.

Late Sunday, officers responding to a call about a person with a gun arrived at the 1000 block of East Hortter Street in East Mount Airy and found Yohannon Shemuel Alexander, 23, with several gunshot wounds to his chest in the driver's seat of a Ford Focus. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:32 p.m. No motive was apparent, and no arrests have been made.
