Gov. Christie caught a foul ball at the Mets game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday night and was promptly showered with boos from the fans at Citi Field.

"Nice to see him get from the beach to the ballpark," Cardinals announcer Dan McLaughlin quipped, referring to the controversy that erupted after Christie was photographed lounging on the sand at a closed New Jersey state beach during the recent government shutdown.

Cardinals player Paul DeJong popped the foul ball behind home plate on the first base side and Christie could be seen catching it one-handed. He then high-fived a man seated in front of him, slapped hands with a few other fans, and then gave the ball to a someone behind him.
