Chester man arrested in slaying, shooting

A Chester man was arrested Wednesday on charges of murder and attempted murder dating to 2005 and 2007, authorities said.

In 2005, Ronier Kennedy fatally shot Sean Franklin in the back as Franklin attempted to drive away after an argument, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office. Franklin was found dead in his Pontiac with a single bullet in his back. In 2007, the District Attorney's Office said, Kennedy shot Alaadin Crews three or four times, with one bullet wounding Crews in the thigh.

Kennedy, 26, faces charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and simple assault. - Shaj Mathew
