Woman waiting for bus killed by pickup truck in Northeast Philly
The woman was hit by a Ford F150 that left the scene, but the driver was reported to have been arrested hours later.
A 64-year-old woman was killed Sunday afternoon while waiting for a bus in Northeast Philadelphia, police said, and the driver was reported to have been arrested late Sunday night.
The victim, whose identity was not released, was waiting at a bus stop on Academy Road near Amity Road just before 4 p.m. when she was struck by a white Ford F150 pickup truck, police said.
Media reports said the man believed to have driven the truck was arrested on the 3100 block of Draper Street.
Medics took the woman to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:29 p.m.
No other details were immediately available.
