Jessica and Michael Lark have known each other since they were sixth graders in the Spring-Ford School District in Central Montgomery County.

So when it came time to buy a house for themselves and their two children, the property in that same school district in Royersford — a main house and a small adjacent building — was a natural choice.

Now, with the kids grown up and out of the house, they are moving to a Victorian manor in Bedford County in south central Pennsylvania.

Looking back on their 16 years in Royersford, “it was great,” said Jessica, a fine artist and photographer. ”Now off to new adventures.”

Michael, who recently retired as an employee of the Pennsylvania National Guard, was also drawn to the property by its proximity to a golf course.

The 2,455-square-foot main house has three bedrooms and 1½ bathrooms.

The second building has 1½ baths, a lower-level workshop and garage space, and a finished family room. The upper floor has an apartment with cathedral ceilings and could serve as an au pair or in-law suite. At one point it was an Airbnb.

The property is shielded from the main road by mature trees and fencing, and it has a stream and a small pond.

There is a walkout basement leading to the lower driveway. The side porch was converted to a home office last year, and there is a back deck.

Both buildings have new roofs and heating and cooling systems.

The property is eligible for subdivision.

It is listed by Kelli Musser of Compass Real Estate for $585,000.
