Martino Cartier is best known as a celebrity hairstylist with a big personality who rose to fame after a 2008 appearance on the popular reality show Tabatha’s Salon Takeover.
He’s been able to pursue many projects, like running a cancer charity, representing multiple hair products, and having his own brand on the Home Shopping Network.
But now, he wants a new gig. He’s running for Gloucester County commissioner as a Republican and hopes to flip a seat red.
He’s also the focus of attacks from Gloucester County Democrats that touch on his past legal fights, controversial remarks, and President Donald Trump-branded clothes.
The Inquirer’s Aliya Schneider has the story on the eccentric candidate.
A Gloucester County Superior Court judge ordered India Miller, the Paulsboro mother accused of killing her 9-year-old daughter, Maya Thomas, to remain in jail until her case is over during a Tuesday detention hearing.
Miller and her husband, Sean Scott, are charged with first-degree murder and related crimes. The two are accused of fabricating a story claiming that Maya was hit by a car while walking the family dog.
Prosecutors argue that the autopsy and insight from interviews with relatives show Miller and her husband beat Maya before the 9-year-old died.
Her defense claims Miller was also a victim of Scott’s violence and tried to save Maya’s life.
Reporter Jillian Kramer shares more details of the additional evidence released during the hearing.
