And Camden is cracking down on illegal dumping by using police-operated drones.

Several new food options are coming to South Jersey this fall:
🦪 Nick & Nora’s Oyster Dive, a raw bar and American kitchen, is set to open at Ironstone Village in Medford. It’s a project from Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello, the restaurateurs of La Chinesca and Piccolina in Philly.
🍻 Freckled Jawn Brewery is expected to open the first week of October in Woodbury. The new husband-and-wife owners took over the former Eight & Sand Beer Co., and will introduce a fresh lineup of beers.
🍴 Dave Murphy, a former chef at Donkey’s Place in Camden, wants to debut Irishtown Steaks in Gloucester City on Halloween. He’ll use rolls from Boaggio’s which has a bakery nearby.

Combating illegal dumping is a multimillion-dollar problem in Camden.
According to Mayor Victor Carstarphen, the widespread issue comes from contractors and landlords who live in and outside of the city. Police have charged offenders from Camden as well as Pennsauken, Cherry Hill, Pine Hill, Mount Laurel, and Maple Shade.
City and county officials outlined a strategy Wednesday to tackle the issue that includes more enforcement, tougher penalties, and the use of drones and high-tech camera networks.
Violators will face fines up to $10,000, and officials are offering $1,000 rewards to residents who can provide information like footage from door cameras.

Bystanders who were injured after an 11-year-old lost control of a golf cart during a drunk-driving simulation sued the City of Wildwood and its police department.
The Kitchen Consigliere, the mob-themed Italian restaurant in Collingswood, filed for bankruptcy last week.
After 18 years of advocacy, Collingswood residents are one step closer to being able to seek licenses for backyard hens. The borough’s commissioners introduced an amendment on Tuesday to drop the borough’s ban, and the ordinance will move forward for a vote next month.
Holtec Nuclear Corp., based in Camden, hopes to raise $750 million in an IPO.
Because of rising sea levels, the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor plans to raze its existing building and replace it with an elevated version.
According to the Associated Press, LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in New Jersey earlier this week with more than $500 million in debt.
My Bagel Cafe in Delran recently added its own ice cream shop, South Jersey Food Scene reports.
