Gas prices in Philly and across Pennsylvania continue to climb
As the U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran continue, Philadelphia gas prices are edging higher

After the U.S. and Israel began strikes on Iran last Saturday, Americans braced for higher gasoline prices. By Monday, prices were already on the rise, with the national average for a gallon of gas surpassing $3 for the first time since November.
On Saturday, the national average hit $3.44 per gallon, according to GasBuddy, a gas price tracking service. That was 46 cents per gallon more than the previous week, and almost two cents higher than Friday.
The AAA gas price tracker set the national average a bit lower, at $3.41 per gallon.
The price increase was even steeper for Pennsylvania drivers, who have been paying above the national average per gallon since at least 2025.
As of Saturday, both AAA and GasBuddy estimated the average gas price in Pennsylvania at $3.55 per gallon. Philadelphia drivers were seeing prices of $3.38 per gallon, 37 cents higher than the week before, according to GasBuddy.
Statewide, Venango County drivers paid the most per gallon ($3.80) while Susquehanna County drivers paid the least ($3.30), according to GasBuddy.
Drivers in Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties saw some of the lowest gas prices in the state, at around $3.35 per gallon. Chester County gas prices were slightly higher, at $3.42.
Monitoring gas costs on Google Maps, checking gas fees across the bridge, or using price tracking apps can help with finding cheaper gas.
As of Saturday, the station closest to Philly with the cheapest gas was a Gulf and Delta gas station in Pennsauken, Camden County, where regular cost $2.99 per gallon, according to the GasBuddy tracker.
Within the city limits, a United gas station at 6901 Buist Ave. in Southwest Philadelphia had the lowest price per gallon, $3.10, matched by a Sunoco at 6898 Marshall Rd. in Upper Darby.
