Two people were killed and three others were injured Wednesday when a dump truck fell on an SUV and crushed it on a highway ramp in Chester County.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident, which happened about 10 a.m. on the ramp from southbound Route 202 to the westbound Route 30 Bypass in East Whiteland Township.

All five victims were in the SUV, state police said. There was no word on the conditions of the three injured people. The names of the victims were not immediately released.

A heavy-duty tow truck was brought in to right the truck. TV news video showed the driver’s side of the SUV nearly flattened.
