Man dies after being ejected from motorcycle in highway-ramp crash in Northern Liberties
A Pottstown man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Northern Liberties.
A 33-year-old man from Pottstown is dead after he was ejected from his motorcycle Monday night when it crashed on a highway on-ramp in Northern Liberties.
Karl Kirschner crashed on the ramp from I-95 South to I-676 West, was ejected from the motorcycle, and landed on the street adjacent to the ramp around 11 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police said.
Kirschner, wearing a motorcycle helmet, was found alive but unresponsive at the intersection of Callowhill Street and Second Street, police said. He’d already been taken to Jefferson Hospital by the time the troopers arrived. He died from his injuries at the hospital.
Troopers found the crashed motorcycle on the right shoulder of the ramp from I-95 south to I-676 west.
