The Federal Aviation Administration has grounded all flights flying into Philadelphia International Airport due to an equipment issue Monday morning, according to the FAA’s airspace system status.

Departure flights flying out of PHL airport are delayed due to the equipment issue, and the FAA expected those wait times to increase.

The FAA said planes departing from a U.S. airport and heading to PHL, Newark Liberty International Airport, and Bergen County’s Teterboro Airport should remain on the ground until 11:45 a.m., with a possibility of an extension of the ground stop, according to FAA airspace system status. Departing flights are also delayed at Newark and Teterboro.

“The FAA is pausing flights into Philadelphia International, Teterboro, and Newark Liberty International airports due to issues with some frequencies” at the region’s air traffic control center, an FAA spokesperson said.

It was not clear how long it would take to resolve the issue.
