Yuna is a soft storm.
The Malaysian singer-songwriter released her third studio album,  Chapters, in which she chronicles the many layers of love. The album hit No. 8 on Billboard’s Top 10 R&B charts.  The song “Crush” from the album features Usher and is her first Billboard-charting single.
But she’s also an entrepreneur. Yuna co-owns independent lifestyle brand November Culture, where “stylish comfort”  is the approach to clothing and home decor. I sat down with her in September  before her show at the Fillmore for a Free Thinkers interview with RECPhilly in November. We talked about  Chapters, Lauryn Hill and what it means to be a Muslim artist.
