Jonathan Papelbon may not get traded anytime soon, but the Phillies closer is looking to sell his Center City condo.
Papelbon put his 4,200-square-foot condo in the prestigious 1706 Rittenhouse Square building on the market yesterday for $6.9 million, as reported by Philly Mag. His neighbors include teammates Cliff Lee and Ryan Howard.
The asking price is significantly higher than the $4.6 million that Papelbon and his wife, Ashley, paid for the unit in July 2012, according to public records.
But we hear that less than 12 hours after the condo hit the market, there's been strong interest. Listing agent Kelly Pendino-Betley of GH Realty declined to comment.
The full-floor condo on the 15th floor has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. The unit includes a large family room with coffered ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views that allow him to see the office, Citizens Bank Park.
The condo has a private elevator entrance, an amenity that all units in this building have.
The Papelbons' primary residence is in Hattiesburg, Miss.
