“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest handpicked Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as the second site for his charitable foundation’s closed-circuit broadcast multi-media center The Voice, the hospital announced today.
The Voice, which will open this summer and be housed inside the Main Hospital’s Colket Atrium, provides patients the ability to engage in activities related to radio, TV and new media, such as broadcasting like a DJ and playing songs to watching performances and conducting celebrity interviews.
What the hospital hasn’t announced, but what we have on good authority, is that Seacrest will visit several times a year to broadcast his nationally-syndicated radio show, heard here on Q102, from The Voice at CHOP.
Philadelphia magazine’s Victor Fiorillo recently broke the story of Seacrest’s CHOP intentions and his visit to the hospital last fall, on Phillymag.com.
The Ryan Seacrest Foundation's first Voice location is at Children's Healthcare in Seacrest's hometown of Atlanta.
