They'll be talking trains at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce's State of the Region event at the Chase Center in Wilmington on Tuesday morning.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and Albrecht Engel, vice president of Amtrak's High Speed Rail Division, are scheduled to discuss the latest push to shrink the travel times between Northeast cities with faster rail service.

The audience for that meeting is far different from one being held later also May 24 at Temple University: Campus Philly's third annual Opportunity Fair.

Organizers said 56 employers would be recruiting for entry-level positions and internships as part of the nonprofit group's mission to try to retain recent college graduates.

The list includes very large (Bank of America, Comcast), medium-size (Almac, SCA Americas), and small employers (AWeber Communications, Portico Systems).

Campus Philly aims to attract more than 1,000 recent grads from more than 100 schools to Temple's Howard Gittis Student Center, 1755 N. 13th St., from noon to 3 p.m.
