Authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving a car and NJ Transit bus on the Atlantic City Expressway.
New Jersey State Police said the deadly crash happened in the westbound lanes about 5 a.m. Monday near mile marker 3.6 in Pleasantville.
The car rear-ended the route 507 bus, which had finished its route and was heading back to the Egg Harbor Township garage, according to the transit agency. The bus was moving when the car struck it, the agency said.
The driver of the car, a Honda, died, police said. The bus driver wasn't injured and there were no passengers on the bus.
Further details about the crash weren't immediately available.
There are lane closures and motorists should expect delays in the area.
