As we look back on the events of 2016, what will we remember?

There were the good times: Bruce Springsteen played his longest U.S. concert at Citizens Bank Park. We executed the DNC without embarrassing ourselves. Geno's took down the "speak English" sign. Villanova won the championship and we got a victory parade! And then there were the not-so-good times: The Nazi graffiti. The heroin. The losses.

Hundreds of Philadelphians died this year. We also lost Philadelphians who shaped the legacy of our city in ways both big and small. Here, we remember the contributions some of 2016’s dearly departed Philadelphians made to our city.
