Police ID man shot to death in West Philly on Sunday
A man shot to death Sunday in West Philadelphia has been identified as Terrell Cooper, 30, of the 5200 block of Knox Street in Germantown, police said Tuesday.
About 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police found Cooper on the 5500 block of Chestnut Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about four hours later.
Police believe the shooting happened on South 56th Street near Chestnut. No arrest has been made in the case and the motive for the shooting was not known.
Cooper's slaying was one of five in the city from Friday through Sunday that homicide detectives have been investigating. His identity was not immediately known to investigators.
