Police on Friday identified a woman accused of stabbing to death a 26-year-old man in her Southwest Philadelphia home on Tuesday as Kiara Fredericks, 20, of the 2100 block of South 60th Street.

Police initially said the victim was Fredericks' boyfriend, but on Friday they clarified that it was her boyfriend's brother, Andre White.

About 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a home on the 2100 block of South 60th Street for a report of a person with a weapon. There, they found White unresponsive with a stab wound to the left side of his neck. He was taken by medics to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police said Fredericks was taken into custody inside the home.  She was charged with homicide and possession of an instrument of crime, and faces a Nov. 2 preliminary hearing.
