Police are looking for a man who tried to rob an Olney doughnut shop at gunpoint, but left without taking anything after a child in the store started screaming.

Philadelphia police on Wednesday released surveillance footage from the Monday incident at the Dunkin' Donuts at 6201 N. Front St.

The man walked into the store shortly after 4:15 p.m., brandished a handgun and pointed the firearm in an employee's face while demanding money.

The robbery attempt happened right in front of a child, who started screaming, prompting the would-be robber to flee, police said.

The suspect didn't get any money. It wasn't known which direction he fled after leaving the store.

The man was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and having a stocky build. He was wearing a black shirt, blue ripped jean shorts and black sneakers.
