David Ansill lands a chef's job
He's starting to work at Ladder 15.
David Ansill -- who has a foodie following from his now-gone chef-driven projects Pif and Ansill Food + Wine -- has landed at Ladder 15 (1528 Sansom St.).
Right now, he is consulting at the bar-restaurant, but will become its executive chef in five or six weeks.
Co-owner Max Tucker says it's part of a "full-on" project to ramp up the food along with the beer and wine program.
Some of Ansill's signature items will make it on the menu, including the short-rib Korean tacos, the mussels from Pif, and the beet salad.
Ansill's pre-ownership stops include the Rittenhouse Hotel, Café Nola, BLT's Cobblefish, Lucy's Hat Shop, Continental and Judy's Café.
