‘Bob’s Burgers’ cast announces live tour; Philly stop included

If you’ve ever watched "Bob’s Burgers" and thought, "Man, I wish all this animation wasn’t here to distract me from my enjoyment of the show,” then your prayers have officially been answered.

If you've ever watched Bob's Burgers and thought, "Man, I wish all this animation wasn't here to distract me from enjoying the show," then your prayers have officially been answered. The cast of the hit Fox show will soon bring their meaty antics to Philly for a stop on their upcoming Bob's Burgers Live! tour.

Kicking off in mid-March in Minneapolis, the tour will wind its way through the Midwest and East Coast, eventually ending up at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby on March 26. So far, Philly is one of eight confirmed stops on the tour.

Expect to see the whole Belcher family in Upper Darby — or, well, at least the voice actors who play them. Cast members taking part in the tour include H. Jon Benjamin (Bob), Kristen Schaal (Louise), Eugene Mirman (Gene), Dan Mintz (Tina), and John Roberts (Linda), along with series creator Loren Bouchard.

Described as a "raucous and lively mix of stand-up comedy," the tour promises to include previews of upcoming episodes, a Q&A, a live reading of an episode, and, of course, stand-up sets from the show's voice actors. There might even be some live music:

Despite the fanfare, this actually is not the first time Bob's Burgers has hit the road. The cast previously banded together in 2013 for a few West Coast stops, not having made it anywhere near Philly — where, it should be noted, a version of an actual Bob's Burgers cropped up in Royal Tavern late last year.

Now, though, we'll get our first authentic taste, so to speak. Tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m., and cost between $29.50 and $49.50, plus fees.
