An aspiring model in Los Angeles contacted the LAPD after she believed a company was using Amber Rose to lure women into prostitution. The South Philly model and socialite had no idea.
An unnamed company advertised a gig for a "paid celebrity photoshoot and clothing line." The original ad stated:
Hot babes!!
Looking for new faces for a paid celebrity photoshoot and clothing line.
Email [redacted] with three photos, name, city and contact information.
Travel will be provided so are accepting submissions from any city.
Must be 18+
Upon responding to the advertisement, women were told Amber would be helping pick the models. To support their claim, the company told women they'd be able to FaceTime with Amber.
Instead of setting up an actual FaceTime session with Amber, the company used an old video from her Ustream. When the women called in they saw and heard Amber in a video that eventually cut out from a "bad connection."
Afterward, the company allegedly informed the models they'd be set up to go out with rich guys, and if the women agreed to be intimate, it would help propel their career. Again, Amber's assistance was mentioned.
The LAPD is currently investigating the company after a model filed a police report stating the company was trying to lure her into prostitution.
