A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning in Feltonville after his bike was hit by a 1994 Honda Accord driven by a man who police said may have been intoxicated.

Orlando DeLeon, 50, of Rockland Street near B, was driving his 2008 Harley Davidson on Wyoming Avenue near B Street about 12:45 a.m., when it was hit by the Honda, driven by a 22-year-old man.

DeLeon's left foot was severed and he suffered severe head injuries, according to police. He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 1:50 a.m.

Car crashes into grocery

A collision between two cars sent one crashing into the side of a Germantown grocery store yesterday morning, police said.

About 4:30 a.m., the occupants of a Ford Expedition were driving west through an intersection on Huntingdon Street near 9th. Meanwhile, the driver of a Nissan Maxima, going south on Germantown Avenue, ran through a red, striking the SUV.

The Expedition hit a utility pole and crashed into the side of Double Star Food Market, knocking a door off its hinges and creating a large hole in the wall.

No injuries were reported, and no charges have been filed, but Authorities are investigating.

Man stabs pit bull to death

A 24-year-old man who was attacked by a pit bull in Frankford on Saturday afternoon was able to stab the dog to death, police said.

The man was bitten several times on the arm by a brown pit bull on Frankford Avenue near Brill Street about 1:40 p.m., police said. It's unclear if the dog was owned or was a stray, but the Pennsylvania SPCA Animal Control Center dealt with the body, police said. The man was treated at Aria Health's Frankford hospital.

Same car in 2 accidents; 1 dies

Two accidents involving the same car on a stretch of the Turnpike in Woodbridge early Saturday left one woman dead and two state troopers injured.

Authorities say that Kara Ocasio, 24, of Linden, was killed when she lost control of her car while driving in the northbound lanes between exits 11 and 12 and it hit a guardrail and the center concrete divider before ending up in the left lane.

Shortly afterard, her car was struck by a police cruiser carrying the two troopers. They were treated at Robert Wood Johnson University hospital and released.

Deptford crash leaves 1 dead

One person was killed and three others were injured early Saturday when a pickup truck driven by an alleged drunken driver crashed into their vehicle on Route 41 in Deptford.

Rene Berben, 25, of Deptford Township, was charged with vehicular homicide and two counts of assault by auto. The victim, Steven Kennedy, 29, of Runnemede, was trapped in his car and pronounced dead at the scene.
