S. Phila. man shot and killed in Point Breeze

A 22-year-old South Philadelphia man was fatally shot Saturday in the city's Point Breeze section, authorities said yesterday.

The victim, whose name was withheld until notification of relatives, was shot in the head in the 1300 block of South Bouvier Street, detectives said.

Police officers called to the area shortly before 11 a.m. to investigate found the man suffering from his wounds. He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:10 a.m.

Detectives said yesterday they did not know whether the victim had been robbed and had no suspect.
