Like watching everything on a big screen? Here's a way to take along (or more accurately, create) a really big screen from a really small package wherever you roam. The BEM Wireless Kickstand HD Projector is an ingeniously designed portable projector that swivels out of its own integrated combined handle, carrying case, and A-frame stand - all in an 81/4-by-71/2-by-
11/2-inch package. It weighs about 2 pounds. The included remote control snaps into place magnetically over the lens to protect the lens when not in use and also to keep the remote from going missing. The Kickstand can project an image onto a surface (such as a wall) as close as 1 foot or as far away as 10 feet, creating a viewable screen size of 9 inches to 90 inches diagonally. You get 720p HD video output; resolution is a respectable 1,280 by 800 - not at all bad for the diminutive size, and the background buzz sound is quite low. The projector has HDMI and USB inputs and a 3.5mm auxiliary out jack. Included are a 3.5mm cable, HDMI cable, wall power adaptor, and soft carry case. There's a decent built-in mono speaker, but you'll get louder, more dramatic sound by hooking up to your laptop's stereo speakers.
