Is there anything as free and breezy as swinging in a hammock?  The folks at Grand Trunk have created a fun model for kids in the same featherweight parachute nylon as its popular adult travel hammocks.  Three bright whimsical patterns make hanging out — and up — especially lighthearted.

The hammocks are a roomy 9 feet long by 4.5 feet wide and come with nautical-grade carabiners and starter rope. An optional pair of brightly colored, 10-foot-long, ultra-strong trunk straps make stringing between trees, poles, or even cars or campers a breeze. Or use your own sturdy rope.

Junior doesn't have to be a tiny tyke — the hammock can handle weights of 45 pounds to 150 pounds.  The whole thing stashes inside a matching stuff sack, weighs a mere 16 ounces, and is machine-washable.
