Gunfire left two men dead and seven others injured in separate shootings across the city on an unusually warm night in January, police said.

Gunfire left two men dead and seven others injured in separate shootings across the city on an unusually warm night in January, police said.

A 19-year-old man was gunned down just after 8:10 p.m. in the 2400 block of West 76th Avenue in Cedarbrook. Police took David McFarlin, who lived on the block, to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:23 p.m.

Chief Inspector Scott Small said at least 13 spent shell casings were found at the scene and the victim had "many, many bullet holes."

Surveillance cameras, including a city police camera ta the intersection, were being checked for video evidence, Small said.

No motive for the slaying was known Friday.

Twenty minutes later, 35-year-old Eric Robinson was shot in the head outside a bar in the 4500 block of Melrose Street in Frankford just after 8:30 p.m. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Robinson, of the city's Frankford section, was talking to a woman when the shooter exited the bar and started firing point-blank range, Small said. Seven shell casings were found around the victim's body. Surveillance cameras recorded the shooting.

No arrests have been made in either homicide.

Elsewhere, six men were injured in three double shootings late Thursday. A seventh man was wounded in another incident early Friday.

Small said the unusually warm weather - temperatures in the 60s well into the night - brought out a higher number of people than was typical for mid-January.

About 6:55 p.m. on the highway in the 5000 block of Germantown Avenue, an 18-year-old man was shot in the left side of his neck and once in his right shoulder. Police took him to Einstein Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

A 23-year-old man was shot in his upper right arm. Medics took him to Einstein, where he was listed in stable condition.

Just before 8:50 p.m. in the 600 block of South 55th Street in West Philadelphia, two men, ages 30 and 22, were wounded in the night's second double shooting. Both were listed in critical condition.

Just before 9:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Girard Avenue, a 23-year-old man was shot in his left hand and left hip and a 70-year-old man was struck in the arm, possibly by a stray bullet. Both were in stable condition.

Then, around 2 a.m. Friday, a 33-year-old man was shot once in his stomach while in a vehicle on the 2300 block of Bailey Terrace in South Philadelphia. He was listed in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

No arrests were reported in any of the cases.
