SEPTA suspended rail line after pedestrian hit by train
SEPTA suspended service on its Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail line for almost three hours Wednesday after a pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak train in Delaware County.
The pedestrian, whose condition is not yet known, was struck near the Norwood Station, according to Jerri Williams, a SEPTA spokeswoman.
Service on the SEPTA line was suspended from about 5:30 p.m. to just before 8:30 p.m.
An Amtrak spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
