Forecast: Rain a threat for days

Sunny, or mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 70s.

Sunny, or mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 70s.

Sounds good - for the weekend.

That's the forecast for the Saturday and Sunday.

Until then, keep those umbrellas handy.

Today, which is unlikely to get warmer than the low 60s, brings the worst threat of rain, with an 80 percent chance of daytime rain, and a possible total of half an inch.

Tonight could add to that with isolated thunderstorms and more rain.

Today should also be the windiest day this week, with gusts in the teens.

Tomorrow and Thursday have a 50-50 shot at showers and thunderstorms, but the rainfall projections are lower - up to about a quarter-inch.

Temperatures should be in the upper 70s.

Friday has a 40 percent chance of rain, and the high could top 80 degrees.
