Kensington woman charged in fatal stabbing

Police have arrested Nicole Mattis, 32, for killing a man at her Kensington home early yesterday morning.

This morning, police also released the name of 32-year-old man fatally shot last night in North Philadelphia.

Shortly before 3 a.m. yesterday, during an apparent domestic dispute, Ereiron Green, 30, was stabbed in the chest inside Mattis' residence in the 2900 block of Frankford Avenue, according to police.

Green was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 3:22 a.m. He lived about a half-mile north, in the 600 block of East Clementine Street.

Mattis was charged with homicide and possessing an instrument of crime.

Details about what led to the stabbing were unavailable.

The North Philadelphia shooting took place shortly after 6 yesterday evening in the 2000 block of North Fourth Street.

Kahil Martinez, of the 2100 block of North Fifth Street, was shot in the back and arm, and transported to Temple Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:38 p.m.

Police this morning knew of no motive and had made no arrests.
