An overturned tractor trailer created a Blue Route bottleneck this morning approaching I-95.
The truck, reportedly hauling trash, overturned on a ramp leading from I-76 to I-95 North, about 6:30 a.m.
With the right lane blocked, and rush hour traffic building, the highway became clogged with crawling cars for miles, the jam eventually extending as far as Broomall.
Traffic that was moving about 25 miles an hour shortly after 8 a.m., was down to 6 m.p.h. by about 9 a.m., according to traffic.com.
The truck wasn't fully uprighted and removed until about noon, according to PennDOT, and the final cleanup continued for about another hour.
The driver had minor injuries, which were treated at the scene, according to state police.
