N. Phila. slaying victim identified

A man shot dead in North Philadelphia late Wednesday was identified this morning as 23-year-old Christopher Jones.

He was shot multiple times about 11:15 p.m. at North 19th and West Cumberland Streets and pronounced dead at the scene at 11:28 p.m., police said.

Jones lived nearby on the 2500 block of North Opal Street, police said.

Initial reports said investigators were questioning someone in the killing, but police said this morning no arrests have been made.
