Chester teen gunned downed, two other youths wounded in possible drive-by shooting

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old and wounding of two other teens in Chester Monday afternoon.

A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot and two other teens wounded Monday afternoon in Chester in what police believe was a drive-by shooting.

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Seventh Street. Police found the victim facedown on a walkway with two bullet wounds in his torso. An 18-year-old man was found in a nearby residence with a gunshot wound in his upper thigh, and the third teen, a 16-year-old boy, was in the rear of the property with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, police said.

Police said all three victims were taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center, where the  younger teen was declared dead.The other two victims are in stable condition.

Police did not identify the victims, and no other information was available.

Officials said this was the city's 23rd homicide this year.
