Detectives were waiting yesterday to question the owner of a West Philadelphia bar who was shot and stabbed before escaping kidnappers who held him for four hours Tuesday.

Lt. John F. Walker of Southwest Detectives said Clinton Horritt, 45, still had not come out of sedation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was being treated for wounds suffered in the ordeal.

Police were looking for four or five men who demanded a $450,000 ransom for Horritt's release.

He was shot in the leg when he was abducted from his bar, at 57th and Ludlow Streets, and later stabbed at a house from which he escaped by climbing through a basement window.- Joseph A. Gambardello
