No leads yet in gunfire at Villanova following fight
Radnor police are still investigating Sunday-morning gunfire at Villanova University, but had no leads as of yesterday afternoon. "We've been interviewing a lot of different people," Lt. A.J. Antonini said. Antonini said police recovered four casings, but he did not identify a possible weapon.
The shots were fired shortly before 2:30 a.m. in the university's main parking lot at Lancaster and Ithan Avenues. No one was injured, but the university went into lockdown and alerted students by text message and e-mail. The lockdown ended shortly after 7:30 a.m., and the campus resumed normal activities.
A university statement said fights broke out earlier in the night at a dance at the Connelly Center.
