A carjacking in the Far Northeast last night ended with the apparent suicide of the carjacker, police said.

Just after 6 p.m., a man tried to rob a woman in the BJ's Wholesale Club parking lot in the 2000 block of Red Lion Road, according to police. The man fired once into the air before forcing the woman out of her car and driving to Roosevelt Boulevard, where he headed south, police said.
