Man shot dead in Chester

A 22-year-old man was shot dead in the middle of a busy intersection in Chester, police said Saturday.

Donté Murray of Chester was found at West Ninth and Pennell Streets just before 4 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center and pronounced dead minutes later, according to a statement Saturday from Chester Police Chief James Nolan IV.
