GAME 6: EAGLES (3-2) VS. DETROIT LIONS (1-3)

Lincoln Financial Field, 1 p.m.

TV: FOX

Radio: WIP (94.1-FM, 610-AM); WTTM (1680 Spanish)

Weather: Partly cloudy, high 71, southwest wind around 16 mph

Injury Report: Page 38

Game line: Eagles -3.5

Over/Under: 47.5

Three Keys to an Eagles win

1. Slow down the pass: The Lions come into Week 6 averaging 322 passing yards per game, second in the NFL. Detroit receiver Calvin Johnson will most likely be the focal point of the Eagles' defensive game plan.

2. Ball security: Obvious, but you can't win when you continually turn the ball over. Four fumbles (two lost), including one in the end zone, doomed the Eagles from the start against Pittsburgh

3. Pressure Lions QB Matthew Stafford: The four-man rush that was on display for most of the game against the Steelers didn't get enough pressure on Ben Roethlisberger and paid the price. The Eagles now go up against an offensive line that has given up nine sacks in four games.

SPOTLIGHT ON ... JEREMY MACLIN

Position: Wide receiver

Height/Weight: 6 feet, 198

Age: 24

Birthdate: May 11, 1998

Hometown: Chesterfield, Mo.

College: Missouri

Acquired: Eagles' first-round pick in 2009 draft (19th overall)

Last week's stats vs. Steelers: five catches for 39 yards on eight targets

This year: 14 receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns in four games (didn't play against Cardinals)

Michael Vick on Maclin after the Giants game: "They really didn't try to take him away, but things were just going in a different direction, and Jeremy will have his moments and his days where he gets out there and he's productive for us. The thing is, he can't get discouraged and he has to keep fighting."

Did you know? Maclin was a sociology major at the University of Missouri and grew up idolizing St. Louis Rams greats Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt.

WHO'S HOT

DeMeco Ryans: Against the Steelers, the man in the middle totaled a team-high 12 tackles (six solo) and a hit on Ben Roethlisberger on a day when pressure on the QB was minimal.

LeSean McCoy: Shady had a tough day, rushing for 53 yards on 16 carries, but two conversions on fourth-and-short by McCoy kept the Eagles in the game until the final seconds.

WHO'S NOT

Rushing defense: The Eagles, who give up only 100.4 yards per game, allowed 136 yards to what had been the worst rushing attack in the NFL before last week's game.

Michael Vick: The quarterback has had turnover problems all year (six interceptions, eight fumbles), but calls for Nick Foles to start will go unheeded as long as the Eagles continue to be competitive.

OBSCURE FACT: The last time the Lions visited the Linc, Sept. 23, 2007, the Eagles celebrated their 75th anniversary with powder-blue-and-gold jerseys and a 56-21 win. Quarterback Donovan McNabb threw for 381 yards and four touchdowns, three to Kevin Curtis.
