Called the 'patriarch of Latin music' in Philadelphia, the late Jesse Bermudez was honored Wednesday with a procession from St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church to the Centro Musical and his mural at Julia de Burgos Elementary School. Mourners celebrated Bermudez's life and commitment to Latino music, playing along Lehigh Avenue before laying him to rest.
