A Memoir of Love, Loss and Other Four-Letter Words, this is the true story of the relationship between entertainment journalist Ausiello (played by Jim Parsons) and partner Kit Cowan, and the latter’s cancer diagnosis. With Ben Aldridge as Cowan, and Sally Field. Directed by Michael Showalter.

Empire of Light
Sam Mendes directs this melodramatic ode to the healing power of movies, set in an English coastal town during the racial and social unrest of the Margaret Thatcher era. Olivia Colman stars as a lonely theater manager who befriends a much younger Black man (played by Micheal Ward). With Colin Firth.
