Man allegedly armed with knife fatally shot by police in Frankford
The suspect allegedly threatened a SEPTA employee and then was shot by police in a parking lot at the Frankford Transportation Center.
A man armed with a knife who had threatened a SEPTA employee was fatally shot by police late Friday afternoon in the city’s Frankford section, police said.
The man was shot shortly after 5 p.m. in the 1500 block of Pratt Street at the SEPTA employee parking lot next to the Frankford Transportation Center and was pronounced dead at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, police said.
A SEPTA employee “was in danger” and flagged down a passing city police officer for help, police said.
