NSA contractor-turned-fugitive whistleblower Edward Snowden can now add another title to his name: comic book character.

A graphic novel called 'Beyond: Edward Snowden' is set for release in late May. The biographical comic will explore Snowden's motives behind leaking classified NSA documents in 2013.

Marvel's 'Punisher' writer, Valerie D'Orazio, wrote the story and Dan Lauer provided the illustrations which D'Orazio said will give readers the chance to see, "a side of Edward Snowden the public has never really seen before."

Snowden is currently living in Russia. He left the U.S. after releasing hundreds of thousands of documents detailing NSA spying information.
