Katy Perry and Russell Brand to divorce

Shock and awe did not fill Hollywood gossip mongers as singer Katy Perry and comedian/actor Russell Brand officially announced their much hinted at divorce this afternoon.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends," Brand said. Brand filed, citing irreconcilable differences. Word on the street is that Perry felt Brand did not respect her friends and her family's Christian values.
