Michael Strahan officially joins ‘Good Morning America’ part-time

You'll be seeing a lot more of retired NFL player turned media personality Michael Strahan very soon.

The Live! With Kelly and Michael co-host made his part-time debut on Good Morning America Tuesday morning, where it was announced that he would officially be joining the early risers beginning next week. Strahan will still keep his Live! gig with pal Kelly Ripa, but will be an indefinite part-time member of GMA.

Strahan is coming onto the program after two of the show's male anchors, Josh Elliott and Sam Champion, departed for other television gigs. "We love you. We love Kelly. So excited that you're going to join us a couple days a week," GMA's Robin Roberts said this morning.
